{"id":10689,"date":"2017-10-18T12:06:01","date_gmt":"2017-10-18T10:06:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fondazioneconilsud.it\/?page_id=10689"},"modified":"2024-10-09T09:30:16","modified_gmt":"2024-10-09T07:30:16","slug":"how-we-work","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fondazioneconilsud.it\/en\/fondazione\/how-we-work\/","title":{"rendered":"How We Work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fondazione CON IL SUD operates\u00a0 in the six regions of Southern Italy through three main tools:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u201cExemplary\u201d projects<\/strong><br \/>\nInitiatives whose innovative content, organisations involved, impact and territorial significance can turn them into benchmarks for social infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Community foundations<\/strong><br \/>\nNon-profit entities that are the \u201cexpression\u201d of local realities, whose capacity to raise funds to be invested for social purposes in the local territory represents an extraordinary subsidiarity. Absent from the Southern Italian panorama until 2009, the first five community foundations were established in Salerno, in Messina, two in Naples and in Val di Noto (Sicily), with the support of Fondazione CON IL SUD.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Volunteering programmes and networks<\/strong><br \/>\nInitiatives meant to strengthen the impact of the volunteering networks which are already operating in the territory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Ongoing Monitoring<\/h2>\n<div id=\"contenuti_db\">\n<p>Since 2006, the Foundation has constantly monitored the progress of the financed initiatives, offering support to the ones underway and controlling the effects of the ones concluded through direct contacts with project managers, inspections and field visits.<\/p>\n<p>The monitoring and assessment processes of the financed projects are both a manifestation of attention towards the contribution recipients and an act of responsibility and guarantee towards stakeholders regarding the correct use of resources and achievements of the Foundation\u2019s institutional purposes.<\/p>\n<p>By targeting the local potential, the Foundation has stimulated the exploitation of intangible elements such as good faith, cooperation, responsibility and human capital \u2013 all fundamental pieces to strengthen the social infrastructure of the \u201cMezzogiorno\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The results were rapid: demolishing clich\u00e9s, southern italy has proven to be lively, enterprising, and responsible. it has all it takes to pursue independent paths of growth and redemption.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fondazione CON IL SUD operates\u00a0 in the six regions of Southern Italy through three main tools: \u201cExemplary\u201d projects Initiatives whose innovative content, organisations involved, impact [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"parent":10695,"menu_order":17,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-10689","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
