In 2014, the Foundation launched ‘Una Storia con il Sud’ (‘A Story with the South’), a video contest open to all non-profit organizations across Southern Italy and to videomakers to bring together and share online stories of resilience and best practices in the social sector across Southern Italy, through three-minute videos.

The initiative received 113 video submissions created by videographers and filmmakers, along with 200 stories of community engagement, civic commitment, and social resilience proposed by southern associations and non-profit organizations as subjects for the videos. A distinguished jury, made up of Carlo Verdone, actor and director; Isabella Aguilar, screenwriter; Antonio Polito, editor of Corriere del Mezzogiorno; Luca Mattiucci of Corriere della Sera; and Carlo Borgomeo, president of Fondazione con il Sud, selected the contest’s winning stories and videos.
