Status Attivo

Sud Vivo → Active

Sud Vivo (www.sudvivo.it) is a participatory communication campaign aimed at building a new public narrative around the issue of depopulation by sharing and showcasing existing efforts toward demographic, social, cultural, and economic regeneration of Southern
Italy.

The campaign is supported by Fondazione con il Sud in line with its 2025–2027 Three-Year Strategic Plan and pursues a dual objective: on one hand, to shift the dominant narrative, moving away from a fatalistic, disempowering reading of depopulation toward a perspective centred on possibility and regeneration; on the other hand, to activate participatory processes by surfacing and connecting experiences, proposals, and initiatives that can contribute, even in a partial but concrete way, to countering the issue. Participation is the guiding principle of the entire initiative.

The audience is not simply the recipient of its message but an active participant in shaping and sharing it: non-profit organizations, institutions, businesses, citizens, and communities are all invited to be protagonists in a collective story. By highlighting the experiences it gathers, the campaign aims to help make Southern Italy an attractive place where people can build their lives and careers, for those born there, those who choose to stay, those who wish to return, and those arriving from other regions or countries.

Through a dedicated form on the campaign’s website (www.sudvivo.it), non-profit organizations, institutions, and businesses can become campaign partners by sharing their own regeneration efforts, which will be featured across the website and across the campaign’s channels. At the same time, citizens and associations can share collective stories of change that they directly witness and help
shape.

The future of Southern Italy is a shared story.

Let’s write it together.
