“The light inside“, a documentary directed by Luciano Toriello and produced by Apulia Film Commission and Fondazione CON IL SUD, is now available with English subtitles in the Amazon Prime Video catalogue for the USA and UK audiences . You can watch it at the following link >>
The one hour documentary is set in Lucera (Apulia, Italy), where Mario and Christian, as so many other men who are serving their sentences in prison, strive every day to assert their right to parenthood. On the other side, expressing deep emotional and educational needs, there are their children. Luckily, two associations of volunteers operate alongside these families.
The documentary by Luciano Toriello is one out of ten short movies and documentaries selected by Fondazione CON IL SUD and Apulia Film Commission through the Social Film Fund Con il Sud call for proposals, which aims at giving a dynamic representation of Southern Italy, by spreading positive stories and solutions to the historical problems with the language of cinema.
